Sean Frank founded Cloud Equity Group in 2013 to specialize in both disciplined and innovative hosting-based investment opportunities across a broad spectrum of ownership and lending opportunities. Most notably, Sean is the first manager of dividend focused investment vehicles in the web and cloud hosting sectors. He acts as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer for all investment decisions across the firm.
Prior to founding Cloud Equity Group, Mr. Frank was the CEO of XE Technology Solutions, a well-established and reputable web hosting and cloud-based provider. Like many started the company from his living room and built it up to an international conglomerate providing web hosting, game server hosting, web design, and outsourced support services to subscribers worldwide. As a strategy operator, Mr. Frank gained extensive experience with inorganic growth opportunities through mergers and acquisitions. In his role as CEO, he successfully executed and integrated over a dozen transactions, both horizontal and vertical.
Mr. Frank has had public speaking engagements as an industry expert at Harvard University, the University of Chicago, the Alternative Asset Summit, the Alternative Investment Summit, and more. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, McKelvey Entrepreneurial Scholar, and holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.

Gary oversees all aspects of Cloud Equity Group's day-to-day operations including finance functions, management company and fund tax matters, administration of the firm's compliance program, and service provider relationships. Gary opportunistically assists with due diligence and post-close portfolio company integration and management
Prior to joining Cloud Equity Group, Gary was the controller at Sio Capital Management, a hedge fund with over $500 million in assets under management. Before joining Sio Capital Management, Gary worked as an Associate at US Bancorp Fund Services doing financial reporting and fund accounting. Prior to joining USBFS, Gary was an equity analyst for the University of Maryland’s Endowment Fund.
Gary is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park. Gary also holds a B.S. in Marketing from Nankai University.

Amy joined Cloud Equity Group in 2023. Amy is responsible for sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, and assisting with all aspects of deal execution and portfolio company oversight.
Prior to joining Cloud Equity Group, Amy was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications ("TMT") group at Moelis & Company, where she executed a variety of M&A and capital markets transactions. Before Moelis & Company, she was an Investment Banking Analyst at RBC Capital Markets where she exclusively worked on M&A transactions across the helathcare, TMT, industrials, and consumer & retail sectors.
Amy received her B.S. in Finance and Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business.

Taher joined Cloud Equity Group in 2024. Taher is responsible for sourcing, preliminary due diligence, and assisting with all aspects of deal execution. Taher also works extensively with our investment partners and syndication network.
Prior to joining Cloud Equity Group, Taher worked at Infusion Capital where he was responsible for the sourcing and syndicaiton of merchant cash advance deals for small- and medium- sized businesses.
Taher has his Bachelors degree from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Martime Transport.
